The Innova Thunderbird is said to be predictable in the wind, but not so overstable that it’s hard to keep straight. If you’re looking for a consistent driving disc that is slightly faster than the TeeBird3, the Thunderbird is for you. This likely won’t be the fastest or furthest flying driver in your bag, but when it comes to a workhorse driver with the right blend of speed and reliability, the Thunderbird exceeds expectations.
Innova says this of the Thunderbird: “The Thunderbird comes from strong bloodlines. The stability of a TeeBird with the speed of a Valkyrie; the thunderbird is a seasoned Firebird, but with less fade. The Thunderbird is still predictable in the wind and a great choice for your new favorite long-range placement driver.”
Innova’s Champion plastic provides outstanding performance and durability. Champion discs have a beautiful translucent appearance. Champion discs are usually a little firmer and more stable than the same disc in Star or DX plastic. Whether used in heavily wooded situations, or on extremely rugged courses, champion line plastic will continue to perform predictably and avoid damage.
This thunderbird is in excellent shape. There is very very minor wear to the rim, and there is no ink on the disc.
This disc weighs 170g.
