The Tern is a fast, slightly understable disc that is designed for long shot shaping throws with a flight path that maximizes glide. Being understable, this is a comfortable disc that provides max distance for intermediate players.  It is perfect when thrown flat and wide for long straight downhill shots but it is just as good for super long, wide, anhyzer shots. Innova states that the flight rating of this disc in Star and Champion plastic slightly differ. The flight rating for Champion Plastic is 12/6/-2/2. Whereas the flight rating for Star Plastic is 12/6/-3/2. This is the perfect first distance driver for a younger, female or lower arm-speed player and one of these discs is officially the lowest weight disc on the site coming in at 139 grams!
